Facility Utilization Studies

Our approach evaluates existing spaces of all buildings by conducting a comprehensive on-site physical assessment and comparing the results to criteria and functional requirements. Additionally, layout alternatives can be generated to optimize facility capacity, functional adjacencies, ergonomic configurations and operations while addressing applicable Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection standards and protocols. Master Planning

Our strategy in Master Planning not only involves location, size and environment but also addresses ways to best meet current and future mission requirements while offering economical alternatives to new construction. We assist clients, architects and planners in creating functional and efficient plans to support long and short- term objectives.

Basic Facility Requirement/Program for Design

We calculate space requirements by utilizing established Department of Defense planning documents that provide for baseline information and identify facility shortfalls.  Industry standards along with other sources are used to supplement these studies when required.  

Healthcare Requirements Analysis

The principle objectives of our studies are to facilitate the capital planning process and support decision making for potential construction, alteration or renovation projects. The purpose of this Health Care Requirements Analysis (HCRA) is to assess the total demand for healthcare services by eligible beneficiaries in the market area, describe product lines and evaluate staffing requirements necessary to meet that demand. The workload and staffing assessment in the study enables the estimation of space requirements. Our studies further determine the current state of operating efficiency and offer economical alternatives for the optimal delivery of healthcare services to better justify potential capital improvement investments or prevent unnecessary capital expenditures.

Economic Viability & Business Case Analysis

Conducting a Business Case Analysis, OMEGA Group Industries Corp. performs an extended cost-benefit analysis, founded on comprehensive economic study. This considers factors beyond financial to include: Life-cycle cost analysis, discussion of consolidation opportunities including a benefit/cost comparison, discussion of alternatives and a comparison of their costs (e.g., construction vs. lease, GSA vs. commercial lease, etc.), and project plans.

Post Occupancy Evaluation

Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) is the process of evaluating buildings in a systematic and rigorous manner, using building performance evaluation (BPE) and universal design evaluation (UDE), after they have been built and occupied for some time.

Environmental Regulations & Compliance

Our studies are designed to consider both the expense and value of the services provided along with estimated project costs to render useful financial results. The key outcome measures produced by our models include the discounted Net Cash Flow (NCF), discounted Return on Investment (ROI) and Net Present Value (NPV) to support or defend potential capital planning initiatives. Depending on scope, this may also involve life-cycle cost analysis, economic feasibility analysis and scenario analysis.
